FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

How do I determine the travel price?

To calculate the exact price, first select a hotel, then the start date from the drop-down calendar. Next, select the length of stay. The various room categories will appear, along with their base prices, which include the standard services described above the booking form. Once a room category is selected, the name fields will appear. Please fill these in. Additional bookable options will appear next to the name fields. These will be added to the total price after booking by checking the boxes. The adjusted price will be displayed in the "Travel Costs" field below. If a child is traveling with you, please check the box next to "Child traveling with you" and enter the child's name and date of birth. The price will then be displayed. If the child is too old for discounted travel, please select the "Extra Bed" option, subject to availability.

If you require door-to-door transfer, please enter your postcode. The complete price per person for the round trip will then be displayed. If your postcode area is served on Sundays, the total price will be reduced accordingly.

If you like the offer, please click on Book and follow the booking form.

All prices and surcharges are quoted on a weekly basis.

How and when do I pay for the trip?

You can pay for your trip by bank transfer or by debit card at the Schwedt travel agency.

One week after receiving the booking documents, a deposit of 20% plus the cost of any optional travel insurance is required.

The remaining payment is due 4 weeks before the start of the trip so that the travel voucher can be delivered to you in time for the start of the trip.

My individual travel date is not displayed. What now?

The standard arrival day is usually Saturday. If your individual travel date is a different day of the week, please send us an email to: info@urlaubinpolen24.de

Will my booking data be saved?

We receive your order/booking via email and store it locally on our server. You will also receive your booking details and our General Terms and Conditions, which you can view here at any time. For security reasons, your order details are no longer accessible online. We will gladly provide you with any data stored with us upon request.

When will I receive my travel documents?

After receiving your booking, we will send you a booking confirmation. A deposit of approximately 20% is then due. The remaining balance is due one month before departure. Once the payment has been received, your travel documents will be sent approximately two weeks before your trip.

Why should I take out travel cancellation insurance?

Hotels sell their rooms in advance, meaning that the closer a travel date gets, the less likely they are to find a guest. Therefore, cancellation fees apply, as a booked room is blocked from being sold.

Various reasons can prevent a trip from taking place. This can affect the traveler themselves or their close family members. Therefore, it's advisable to insure your trip for a small fee. Insured reasons include, for example, accidents, illness, job loss, and property damage. It doesn't matter whether the insured person or a close relative is affected.

Can I have professional spa treatments in Poland?

Poland has many spa towns, and its sanatoriums and health resorts have many years of experience. Thousands of spa tourists take advantage of the affordable treatments every year.

Why do I have to pay tourist tax on site?

Tourist tax must be paid by "non-residents" (e.g. spa guests, holidaymakers, day visitors) who are given the opportunity to use spa facilities and events.

The tourist tax is calculated based on the number of days of stay. The day of arrival and the day of departure are counted as one day. Currently, the amount is approximately €0.50 per person per day.

The tourist tax is used 100% for "tax-eligible" services such as the maintenance of the healing springs, the upkeep of the spa park facilities, subsidies for spa concerts and much more.

Will my German health insurance cover my spa treatment in Poland?

Since Poland joined the EU, German health insurance companies have been providing subsidies for spa treatments; we support you in this with advice and assistance.

How do I obtain a short-term grant?

Generally, you are entitled to outpatient preventive care every three years. If medically necessary, a spa treatment can also be granted by your health insurance provider before this period expires. You should apply for the subsidies you are entitled to well in advance of your planned spa stay. Further information can be found here: Health insurance subsidies for spa treatments in Poland

Is my car safe in Poland?

Car thefts are no more common than in Germany, but we still recommend parking your car in one of the many guarded parking lots.

Is the transfer more expensive than traveling by car?

The transfer price is a mixed calculation that ensures every guest is transported, even if a minibus only carries one person.

The idea that you only incur fuel costs with your car is incorrect. Every car costs money, even when it's parked – think car insurance. As soon as the car is moved, costs of between €0.43 (VW Polo) and €0.75 (BMW X5) per kilometer are incurred (source: Autobild). Therefore, a round trip from Berlin to Kolberg in your own car will cost at least €260.

How do I determine the transfer price?

The weekly price shown in the booking form includes self-drive travel. The booking form calculates nationwide prices based on your postcode.

Arrival with door-to-door transfer (HTT) without a hotel booking: We offer door-to-door pick-up throughout Germany.

Arrival by public bus: The prices shown for the individual pick-up points are approximate, as the actual price for the public bus connection depends on the pick-up point, travel date, current exchange rate, and the specific bus route. When making your inquiry, please select a pick-up point near you. The lowest price will be provided to you separately upon request BEFORE you make a binding booking.
